Our stay at Big 4 Atherton Woodlands Caravan Park

150 kilometres ago we had dry, dusty and corrugated roads
AND NOW… Lush Tablelands, green surrounds, awesome showers, a swimming pool, playground on site and shops and services all around … Hello Heaven!!!

Our ‘holiday within a holiday’ and hosted stay has been with
BIG4 Atherton Woodlands Tourist Park. We choose this caravan park as it was rated the highest in the area on WikiCamps!

I can’t tell you how fabulous it has been to have downtime here – for all of us! The kids absolutely LOVE the pool, Joe the free wifi and me the discount vouchers to the supermarket and attractions in the area!  Very clearly the owners here love what they do as the park, gardens and amenities are so well maintained.

We’ve been on the Tablelands a number of times, but never did we realise that this area is renowned for Mountain Biking!  Not wanting to let any opportunities pass us by, we readied the bikes, plotted our track and psyched ourselves up to take on Baldy Mountain Forest. The tracks looked amazing – ranging from easy to hard. But alas, when we got there, the kids only wanted to walk. Until we meet again Mountain Bike Park!

Today we are off to explore and enjoy WATERFALLS!  We spied one on the way in, but today we visit as many as we can!  There is so many to see and do!
