Stradbroke Island’s best walk

North Gorge Walk, Stradbroke Island, QLD

💜 Who has been to Stradbroke Island?
💜 What is YOUR best memories of visiting?
💜 Who wants to visit?

Did you know Joe and I used to work on North Stradbroke Island?  Little Rob even went to Kindy on the Island! You see Straddie, located only 30 kilometres from Brisbane is one of those places that once you’ve visited, you’re guaranteed to return time and time again!!  Which is why the moment our car was fixed, we were booked on Stradbroke Ferries and into the resort Anchorage On Straddie for some true family relaxation time!

All of those who have visited Straddie will know, that no trip is complete without a walk along the impressive NORTH GORGE WALK located at Point Lookout.
Have you visited? What did you see on your visit?

The walk itself is an easy 1.5 kilometre circuit on a timber boardwalk, that takes you around the best sections of this scenic headland. There are many chances to sit and watch the waves crash in or climb out along the viewing rocks for the absolute best 360 degree views!

The headland is most renowned for the sea life that you may see on your visit. Unfortunately for this visit, we didn’t see many animals at all, but previously we have seen many sea turtles and even whale watches in season!!
